This beach offers quality waves: few beaches offer as many barrels and tubes as Marbella. Be careful though: watch out for the rock in the middle of the beach, sometimes it can be dangerous, especially at mid-tide.

This break works better at mid to high tide rising. At low tide, it is better to surf at the north end of the beach, if the wind conditions are excellent. Good quality Rights and Lefts are seen at the various breaks, depending on the swell direction.

Bring your repair kit and spare leash with you, because there is still no surf shop there, although  you can rent boards at the only restaurant located on the beach.

Be aware: Playa Marbella has two well defined sections; when you come from town the first beach is called “Playa Frijolar”, the name was given because the beach is covered with piles of gray stones. Going further north you’ll find a black sand beach called “Playa Coco”: this is where the beach break is... Let’s surf!
